GeneSight Testing
New Beginnings is excited to offer GeneSight Psychotropic, a pharmacogenomic test that clinically analyzes important genetic variations in your DNA that may affect medication outcomes. The test results may reveal which medications used to treat mental health conditions such as depression, ADHA, or anxiety require dose adjustments, are less likely to work, or have an increased risk of side effects based on your DNA. The test results also include information on how a patient’s smoking status may affect their body’s metabolism of certain medications.

If your medication has failed you in the past, is not working, or is causing unwanted side effects, talk with a New Beginnings provider about how GeneSight testing may help. All it takes is a simple cheek swab which is then sent to the lab. Once your report is received, your provider will review the results with you and create a treatment plan.
