Frequently Asked Questions

01

Which addictions do you treat?

Opioids such as heroin and prescription pain relievers are primarily treated with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). The prescribed medication operates to normalize brain chemistry, block euphoric effects of the opioids, relieve physiological cravings, and normalize body functions without the negative and euphoric effects of the substance used.

Alcohol dependence is treated with vivitrol injections.

The TRUST Program., an empirically-supportive behavioral treatment program, is used to treat methamphetamine addiction.

Along with the treatments above, we also incorporate counseling sessions with every appointment.

What Is Your Success Rate?

The ultimate goal of MAT is full recovery including the ability to live a self-directed life. This treatment approach has been shown to improve patient survival and increase retention in treatment. It has also been shown to decrease illicit opiate use and other criminal activity among people with substance use disorders and increase a patient's ability to gain and maintain employment. It has also been shown to improve birth outcomes among pregnant women who have substance use disorders. These medications and therapies can contribute to lowering a person's risk of contracting HIV or hepatitis C by reducing the potential for relapse.
